Beauty pageants have always been a good way for pretty women to express themselves by dressing in anything from pretty gowns to skimpy bikinis to show off to the entire world. I’m all for them primping around the stage, because, let’s face it, they are nice to look at.
Where some of the pageants seem to miss the mark is when it comes to the Question and Answer portion of the contest.
I don’t blame the women for some of the answers they give, unless it’s former Miss South Carolina Lauren Caitlin Upton, that was all on her. Some of the questions the contestants are given would be difficult for well-known politicians to answer without a written response.
That seemed to be the case during Donald Trump’s Miss USA pageant that aired on Reelz network Sunday evening. Uproxx shared a video of Miss Nevada being asked about “race relations in the US.” Her response was anything but clear.
Her response did her no justice as she was eliminated and Miss Oklahoma own to win the pageant. Again, I don’t blame Miss Nevada for her unclear response. I don’t know if I could answer that question and I graduated third in my class.
