Braxton Miller says his son will be a Buckeye

Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback Braxton Miller loves his school very much, so much that he already seems to be planning his son’s future there. Tim Shoemaker of Ohio State fansite Eleven Warriors offered more.

Definitely something that all kids can remember hearing from their parents, grandparents or other relatives at some point in their lives. I remember my grandfather telling me when I was in elementary school that I was going to go to Harvard or Yale before becoming President of the United States. My uncles said I would follow in their footsteps and become a hardcore Gators fan at the University of Florida.

It’s something that happens in every family, and is kind of endearing in some cases.

However, it should be noted in this case that Miller’s son, Landon, is still a toddler and will celebrate his third birthday later this month. At this point in his life, he’s probably just thinking about when the next episode of “Spongebob Squarepants” or “Yo Gabba Gabba” is on and not where he’ll be going to college.

But that doesn’t take away from the fact that Miller loves Ohio State and opted to return there despite missing all of last season and getting himself into a three-man race for the starting quarterback’s job, along with teammates Cardale Jones and J.T. Barrett. If that isn’t devotion, I don’t know what is.

Ohio State opens the 2015 season on the road against Virginia Tech on September 7.
