Dana Holgorsen had best quote of Big 12 Media Days

West Virginia head coach Dana Holgorsen was one of the instrumental pieces of Texas Tech’s myriad of successful seasons in the early 2000’s. He was under the tutelage of then head coach and Air Raid offense mastermind Mike Leach. Lincoln Riley played quarterback under Leach and Holgorsen in 2002 and then coached alongside them from 2003-2009.

Apparently, Holgorsen and Riley never really saw eye-to-eye.

According to College Spun, Holgorsen had a few mixed feelings about Riley, who is the new offensive coordinator at Oklahoma, and he let them be known at the Big 12 Media Days on Monday. It looks these two have some hard feelings for each other.

Riley’s 2014 season was a pretty successful one at East Carolina. His offense was 23rd in the nation in scoring and fifth in total offense. That is something I am sure the Sooners are proud to have on their side.

The Sooners host the Mountaineers on October 3. That is sure to be a fiery day in Norman.
