The Miami Hurricanes seemed to be on top of their game last season when they headed into their November match-up with Florida State. The team was 6-3 at the time, but they could not pull off the upset of the Seminoles, who at that point had won twenty-five straight games, as they fell 30-26.
This sent the Hurricanes into a tailspin as they lost the next three games, including the Independence Bowl against South Carolina to fall to 6-7 on the season. Miami quarterback Brad Kaaya feels that it is time for a change when it comes to the Florida-based teams in the ACC.
Kaaya told ESPN’s David Hale that the team ran into lots of trouble following the loss to FSU last year, but they feel like things are going to be different this year. College Spun had the report.
#Miami's Brad Kaaya said team had trouble responding after #FSU loss last year. "That's a focus this year is its not just about Fla State."

Those are some pretty big words from Kaaya, but I’m sure he can back them up when it comes to the football field. The rising junior had a great 2014 as he threw for 3,198 yards and twenty-six touchdowns against twelve interceptions.
The Hurricanes open the season against Bethune-Cookman on September 5 and travel to Tallahassee to play the Seminoles on October 10. It is surely going to be an interesting season in the ACC.
