Madden 16 releases on August 25 and there has been a lot of talk about this being one of the best games EA Sports has released in a long time. The biggest thing EA Sports can usually be very right and very wrong about are player ratings. Some NFL rookies got the chance to guess their rating in the game and then had their actual rating revealed to them.
It provided some pretty funny reactions.
The Score shared the video of a handful of players selected in the 2015 NFL Draft guessing their ratings. Some of them were pretty generous with their own scores.
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Phillip Dorset was VERY generous with his guess of 95. No one must have told them that rookies generally don’t get an initial rating higher than 85.
EA Sports has only released the Top 10 rookie ratings to the public right now and former Alabama wide receiver Amari Cooper was almost spot on with his guess.
Amari Cooper, Raiders – 82 OVR
Jameis Winston, Buccaneers – 81 OVR
Todd Gurley, Rams – 80 OVR
Leonard Williams, Jets – 80 OVR
Brandon Scherff, Redskins – 80 OVR
Dante Fowler, Jaguars – 79 OVR
Melvin Gordon, Chargers – 78 OVR
Kevin White, Bears – 78 OVR
Marcus Mariota, Titans – 78 OVR
Vic Beasley, Falcons – 77 OVR
Madden Season is almost back and I know that I can’t wait for it to get here!
