Video: This may be the best RKO ever performed

Sometime last year, it became a social media trend for people to run up to unsuspecting friends and hit them with an RKO and film themselves doing it. Most of the time, the video is dubbed over with WWE commentator Michael Cole’s voice saying “RKO outta nowhere!!”

For all you non-wrestling fans or if you are just un-social and haven’t been on Twitter or Instagram in the last year, the RKO is the finishing move of WWE superstar Randy Orton. It is where he grabs the neck of an opponent and slams him, and sometimes her, face first down onto the mat.

Now, I know WWE says not to try these things at home, but they are sometimes too good to pass up. I have never heard of someone actually getting hurt doing this, so it’s all in good fun.

A video of one of the best RKO’s I have seen not performed by The Viper popped up on Twitter Monday afternoon and it is easily the best one I have seen to date.

As Cole would say “Vintage Randy Orton!!”

Maybe it is just the slow motion. Maybe it is the guy doing Orton’s snakelike movements to the “T”. Maybe it is the girl who has no clue what is about to hit her. Whatever it is, it was awesome.

I don’t think anyone can beat the original Master of the RKO. Especially when it comes to his Wrestlemania 31 RKO against Seth Rollins.

PURE ATHLETICISM.

I would not want to be anywhere near Orton when he goes into his trance-like state of mind. He is a dangerous man.
