Steve Spurrier has been leading the South Carolina Gamecocks from 2005. Spurrier joined returned to the collegiate level after a brief stint at the NFL level with the Washington Redskins.
That chance in the NFL came after a lengthy time on the Florida Gators sidelines and it appears that Spurrier has not forgotten his roots.
While in Bristol, Connecticut for ESPN’s “Car Wash” featuring college football coaches, Spurrier commented on his own personal feelings to different teams in the college football world.
For Spurrier, he will always have a soft spot for the Gators.
Spurrier: "Personally, I like beating Miami. I got a little bit of Gator still in me."

It’s hard to blame him.
When you have spent so much time in a single spot, you’re going to always have a bit of loyalty and respect for the old employer. Luckily for Spurrier, he gets reminded of that Florida joy when the opportunity to play Miami presents itself.
