Video: Duke freshman Luke Kennard has sick hops

The Duke Blue Devils are just about ready to defend their 2015 national championship. They will have to do it with almost an entirely new squad. The team returns Grayson Allen, Amile Jefferson, and Marshall Plumlee as the guys with the most experience. The rest of the squad will be true freshmen.

Duke’s biggest acquisition was Parade National Player of the Year Luke Kennard. He has just shown that he is ready to take over that leadership role and be a key piece of this team getting back to the national championship game.

College Spun shared the video of Kennard showing off his hops during a practice Monday evening. He decided that he was going to show off some of his hops. The best way to do that is throw yourself an alley-oop off the backboard. It was pretty sweet.

I have said it before and I will say it again. Slow motion makes everything better. That was a dunk that would have gotten the judges at any slam dunk contest going.

Let’s hope that Kennard gets the chance to show off his dunking prowess this season.
