Class of 2016 four-star offensive lineman Bryce Mathews, out of Tennessee’s Brentwood Academy, near Nashville, has committed to Ole Miss. Mathews announced his decision on his personal Twitter page.
Standing 6-foot-5 and weighing 280 pounds, Mathews could easily be an immediate contributor to the Rebels’ offensive line. Apart from Ole Miss, he received offers from Alabama, Michigan, Northwestern, Louisville, Clemson, Virginia, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Vanderbilt and Ohio State.
Based on the schools that were recruiting him, this young man clearly has a good head on his shoulders and on the collegiate level, that’s only going to help him.
Ole Miss opens the season at home against the OVC’s Tennessee-Martin Skyhawks on September 5.
