Though Braxton Miller appears to have taken himself out of the Ohio State Buckeyes’ quarterback battle, that didn’t stop teammate Cardale Jones from posting a picture of the team’s “Magnificent 3” QBs on his Instagram: himself, Miller and J.T. Barrett.
It just goes to show you that even in competition, great respect can be had for opponents. Jones was under center for Ohio State’s national championship game against Oregon last season, but opened the 2014 campaign third on the depth chart and then moved up to second when it was determined that Miller would miss the season with a shoulder issue. When Barrett broke his ankle against Michigan, Jones stepped in and never looked back.
Now, the competition is anyone’s guess since Miller is apparently moving to receiver, while Barrett and Jones both have very similar skillsets.
Either way, it’s great to know that no matter who head coach Urban Meyer decides will start the team under center, everyone will still be thick as thieves.
