Notre Dame Fighting Irish starting quarterback Malik Zaire had a special workout partner yesterday afternoon. In a photo posted on his Instagram, Zaire was seen with former Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn, who was helping him with some throwing drills.
Considering how Quinn was a four-year starter for the Irish who is currently the school’s all-time leader in passing yards and touchdown passes, Zaire could certainly find worse people to help him prepare for the season.
Zaire may not look like much at just six feet tall, 210 pounds, but he appeared in seven games last season and completed 21 of 35 passes for 266 yards and a touchdown over that stretch. With extended playing time and help from Quinn, there’s every chance that Zaire will be the man to continue taking Notre Dame forward in 2015.
Notre Dame opens the season at home against Texas on September 5.
