Class of 2017 four-star safety Isaiah Pryor, out of Archer High School in Lawrenceville, Georgia, near Atlanta, has committed to Ohio State. Pryor’s decision was announced on Twitter by Woody Wommack of Rivals.com.
Pryor further explained his decision to play for the Buckeyes when he spoke to Steve Wiltfong of 247 Sports.
“The main things were relationship with the coaches which we had for a long time, and the academics, and I talked to the team who I’m going to be playing with and they seem like down-to-earth players and I think we’ll mesh well.”
Pryor also touched on cornerbacks and special teams coach Kerry Coombs answering his phone to talk to him while the Buckeyes were visiting the White House, so it’s clear that he’s serious about taking his talents to Columbus even though he still has two years of high school left. Apart from Ohio State, he had also drawn interest from a great number of schools including Michigan, Auburn, Florida State, LSU, Michigan State and Georgia, among others.
