Video: Oklahoma WR makes ridiculous back-flipping catch

For some reason, this summer has been the summer of “make crazy catches and post them on social media to show everyone how athletic you are.” We as fans feel like this has been a little much. We know you are athletic. You wouldn’t be playing Division I football if you weren’t.

However, we still love to see this crazy catches.

College Spun shared a video of Oklahoma wide receiver Ryan Parker pulling off a crazy catch in mid-air, while doing a backflip. And yes, it is as ridiculous as it sounds.

I had to try it to 😂 pic.twitter.com/dvtt53Hurv

Now, there is rarely a scenario where a college receiver is going to have to make a catch like this, but it is good to know that he can make them if there is a “Hail Mary” end-game type situation. This also comes in handy if there was ever a “Crazy Catch Competition” at some kind of All-Star Weekend in college football.

In fact, the NCAA needs to work on that. I would certainly watch it.

Let’s hope Parker can run routes and make human catches as well as he does with these during the regular season.

The Sooners open the season on September 5 when they host the Akron Zips.
