Today is a glorious day in hip hop. The genre has taken the form of a heavyweight boxing ring today. A heavyweight bout between Drake and Meek Mill has just ended with an overwhelming knockout.
Meek swung first with an unorthodox strategy, using Twitter to question Drizzy’s lyrical authenticity.
From there, Drake went in the studio, put pen to pad and gave Meek a straight jab with his “Charged Up” diss track. Then, in the wee hours of the morning, delivered a vicious Tyson like knockout punch with “Back2Back.”
Meek is officially KO’d; he has not tweeted, responded or anything since either song was dropped. 6God stands in the ring victorious. #weakmill is now a trending hashtag and the memes are hysterical.
It’s a sad day for Meek Mill and the city of Philadelphia as a whole. RIP, Meek’s career.
