The Ohio State Buckeyes haven’t decided who will be the team’s starting quarterback this season yet, but that hasn’t stopped Cardale Jones from getting excited for the upcoming campaign. Last night, Jones posted the following on his Instagram.
Some may view this as Jones having a high opinion of his arm, but it’s far from inaccurate. On top of being built like a tank at 6-foot-5, 250 pounds, Jones completed 56 of 92 pass attempts for 860 yards and seven touchdowns, the longest pass being 50 yards. He may not have the strongest of arms, but he can go into cannon mode when need be.
That said, this post has only made the anticipation for who the Buckeyes’ man under center will be mount even more. Hopefully, head coach Urban Meyer makes a decision on that front soon so that Jones can either up his leadership skills on the sideline or go into, as he put it, “Flame Throwin'” mode, or both!
Ohio State opens the season on the road against Virginia Tech on September 7.
