Kentucky Wildcats senior safety Glenn Faulkner underwent surgery for a right knee injury this week and will miss the entire 2015 season. Jon Hale of 247 Sports reported Faulkner’s injury.
Faulkner was listed as the fourth-string cornerback on the team’s depth chart after spring camp, but has contributed on special teams ever since coming to Lexington. Over the course of three years, Faulkner posted 17 tackles and one pass defended.
Chances are that Faulkner will come back next year to play his final season of eligibility, but he has offered no comment.
Campus Sports wishes Faulkner a fast recovery and hopes he gets back on the field sooner rather than later.
Kentucky opens the season at home against the Sun Belt’s Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns on September 5.
