4-star TE Naseir Upshur on possible FSU commitment

Naseir Upshur is the No. 4-ranked tight end in the class of 2016, according to 247 Sports. The 6-foot-2, 230-pounder from Philadelphia is a highly sought after player of his class. Seven out of the ten tight ends in his class are already committed, so Upshur is getting a lot of attention.

A few days ago, Florida State thought they had the number one ranked tight end, Isaac Nauta, locked down. But two days ago, Nauta decommited from FSU.

The Seminoles are now one of the many that are looking hard at Upshur, as if they weren’t already.

Upshur has many offers from different programs, but the ones topping his list are Florida State, Michigan and Arizona State. Even though he isn’t offering the Seminoles and their fans a commitment, he did give them something to look forward to if he does.

The soon to be senior said that if he commits Seminole fans will not miss Nauta at all. He also told Bleacher Report reporter, Tyler Donohue, “If I go there, I’m going to be the best tight end and win another Mackey Award.”

Florida State is hoping that he will do just that.
