Florida’s offer letter misspells Cris Collinsworth’s name

|

The theme of Saturday was seeing college football recruits posting pictures of their college football offer letters. The Florida Gators, as is common, bragged about some of their football alumni. NBC Sports analyst Cris Collinsworth was one of them.

College Spun shared the photo of the letter sent to Nate Craig-Myers. You can’t tell at first glance, but somebody in the football department misspelled Collinsworth’s name on the letter.

The letter spells the former quarterback and wide receiver’s name “Collingsworth.” While the error is small and went relatively unnoticed, it still can be considered an embarrassment to some Gator fans.

Who knows? Some recruits may find comedy in the error and actually want to commit to Gainesville for that reason.

The Gators open this season on September 5 when they host New Mexico State.
