Odell Beckham Jr’s autograph signing got pretty chaotic

New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham garnered a whole lot of attention last season with his amazing catches and that even translated into an appearance on the Madden 16 cover. He has gained a whole bunch of fans and at Friday’s autograph signing, they turned out in full force for the event.

According to Complex, things got pretty crazy yesterday at the signing. People began clamoring for attention from the star wide receiver following the team’s practice on Friday as they wanted to get an autograph or picture with the second-year player.

Some people even got hurt in the process of people acting like hooligans. The bleachers even began to move from the people running to get into position.

In a statement released later in the night, the Giants acknowledged that “a portion of a bleacher shifted during the autograph session following training camp practice today.” The organization adds, “According to Seating Solutions, the supplier of the bleachers, the shift was caused due to an unexpected surge in spectators. There were no injuries reported as a result of that incident, and the fans were immediately removed from the area.”

Because of this situation, the Giants have moved their autograph signing to a different location and it will be limited to children twelve and under.
