“Today’s the day.” That is what four-star safety Isaiah Pryor told Urban Meyer when he called him on July 28. Pryor called the Buckeyes head coach to let him know that he would be committing to Ohio State University.
After the formalities were out of the way, Pryor let Meyer know that today was the day, he had made the decision of where he would be playing college football.
“And you’re on the phone with the head coach of the Ohio State?’ Meyer jokes, “Sounds like a pretty good day for the Buckeyes.” Then Meyer asked asked the Georgia native if he would be coming to Ohio State and Pryor told him yes.
“We look forward to coaching you. You’ve got a wonderful family. This is a good day, a good day for everyone. And I look forward to coaching you.”
The Buckeyes are getting a great safety out of Pryor. The The 6-foot-2, 190 pounder is the number two ranked safety in his class, according to 247 Sports. He is one of the first top ranked safeties to commit in his class.
It was a busy July for the Buckeyes who had already gotten three commitments from kicker Blake Haubeil, defensive tackle Jerron Cage, and offensive tackle Jake Moretti.
