Dennis Smith Jr. is a Class of 2016 five-star prospect that stands just 6-foot-2, but he can definitely look forward to participating in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest at some point in his future.
In a video from the Adidas Nations event in California earlier this week, as was posted by Rob Dauster of NBC Sports’ College Basketball Talk.
Smith injured his knee some time after the video was taken, but that doesn’t stray from the fact that he is going to turn some heads as he prepares for his senior year at Trinity Christian School in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
At this point, he is considering offers from Louisville, Duke, Kentucky, N.C. State, UNC and Wake Forest. Per 247 Sports, N.C. State is the current favorite.
Given his strong dunking and leaping abilities, expect all six schools to ramp up their pursuit of Smith in the coming months.
