Northwestern releases photos of new basketball uniforms

To say that the Northwestern Wildcats basketball team has never had a great basketball team would be an understatement. Since the team joined the Big Ten in 1953 and were eligible to make the NCAA Tournament, they have yet to do so. In fact, they are the only long-standing power conference team to have never made the NCAA Tournament.

Maybe in the 2015-16 season, things will begin to look differently. The team’s uniforms sure will.

College Basketball Talk shared pictures of the team’s new Under Armour uniforms Wednesday afternoon and they are pretty snazzy. Maybe this is what the team needs to get their play going on the court.

The Wildcats haven’t had a winning season since the 2011-12 season, which is also the last time the team made the NIT. Now that the team is entering into its third year with head coach Chris Collins, the Wildcats are going to have to turn things around in some way.

Northwestern opens the 2015-16 season on November 13 when they host UMass-Lowell.
