4-star 2016 commit trolls Penn State, quotes Drake on Twitter

The Maryland Terrapins are entering their second year as a member of the Big Ten conference. While they never really had a big rival in the ACC, they seem to be quickly making some enemies in their new home with one of the most storied programs in history.

In 2014, the Penn State Nittany Lions hosted the Terrapins and things seemed to get a little hostile between the teams before the game even started. Maryland’s captains for the game refused to shake hands with Penn State’s.

If Maryland is going to make enemies, Penn State is probably the safest bet to do so being that the two schools are only 214 miles apart. This is easily the best way to quickly make a rivalry happen.

The Terrapins went on to win the game 20-19. 2016 Maryland quarterback commit Dwayne Haskins decided he would try his hand at furthering the rivalry with Penn State by sharing the Vine video of the exchange between the two teams and by quoting rapper Drake. College Spun shared the tweet.

Ouch, that was pretty harsh. If Haskins’s tweet didn’t get the Nittany Lions fired up, knowing that they have to play at Maryland this season surely will.

The Terrapins play host to the Nittany Lions on October 24.
