Ohio State Buckeyes head coach Urban Meyer promised his players last season that, if the team won a national championship, he would get a block O tattoo. Fast forward to today and Meyer is still without permanent body ink, and running back Ezekiel Elliott isn’t happy that his coach has apparently welched on the deal.
So @OSUCoachMeyer still hasn't got his block o tattoo… We prob should start a campaign for that

That said, Meyer had better get himself to the tattoo parlor, and fast. Yes, getting a tattoo is a terrifying prospect, what with it being permanent and the needle being long and intimidating, but it’s fine once it’s over.
Moreover, Louisville Cardinals head men’s basketball coach Rick Pitino got a tattoo as he promised his players he would if they won the 2013 NCAA Tournament, so why should Meyer be any exception?
Thus, given how Meyer has dragged his feet on the matter and has had plenty of time between the national championship game and now to get a block O tattoo, perhaps Elliott and the rest of the team should up the stakes.
Either Meyer gets the tattoo wherever he’d like between now and the season opener against Virginia Tech on September 7, or he has to get a block O tramp stamp if he is still ink-less by that date.
Of course, Campus Sports will update the Urban Meyer tattoo saga as any new information becomes available.
