FSU DE Josh Sweat returns from knee injury

Florida State Seminoles freshman defensive end Josh Sweat has returned to the field following a devastating knee injury he suffered during his senior year of high school. Brendan Sonnone of the Orlando Sentinel posted a video of Sweat exercising on Twitter.

A former star at Virginia’s Oscar Frommel Smith High School, near Norfolk, Sweat still isn’t exactly at 100 percent. Keep in mind that he is coming back from a knee dislocation that also tore his ACL, so chances are that the coaching staff plans to take it slow with him.

Just the same, the fact that he is able to do this after undergoing surgery in October is a great sign, so ‘Noles fans should be excited.

Florida State opens the season against the Sun Belt’s Texas State Bobcats at Doak Campbell Stadium on September 5.
