Ohio State won’t name starter before season-opener

Are you, like many college football fans, anxiously waiting to see who will line up under center as the Ohio State Buckeyes starting quarterback?

Well, get used to waiting.

It has previously been said by head coach Urban Meyer that we will learn who the top signal-caller is when the team breaks the huddle and now he is reiterating that point.

While recently speaking to the media, Meyer once again said that he has no intention of naming a starter prior to the season-opener against Virginia Tech.

That adds even more intrigue to the next few weeks for Buckeyes fans.

As for Meyer’s decision, the good news is that he will only have to decide between two quarterbacks — J.T. Barrett and Cardale Jones. Braxton Miller was initially in the mix, but now he will be switching positions.

It’s going to be another wild season in Columbus.
