Nike announces roster for new event in the Bahamas

We now know the twelve players that will be heading to the Bahamas to participate in a new Nike event in late August. The high school players will practice together for three days before taking on the Bahamian National Team.

According to College Basketball Talk, Nike announced the roster for their new event on Wednesday and it features some of the best players in the 2016 and 2017 classes.

The EYBL event will coincide with the Under Armour Elite 24 All-American game as “a ploy to redirect kids who play on the Nike circuit” away from the event in New York.

Two of the top 2016 prospects Harry Giles and Jayson Tatum attended the Under Armour event last year and they headline the Nike roster this year. Tatum has already committed to Duke for the 2016 season and it is believe that Giles, the top-ranked prospect in the nation, will follow him there.
