Just days after New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith suffered a broken jaw following a locker room altercation, a college football player has been arrested for an alleged locker room assault of his own.
According to a report from NewsWorks, Delaware Fightin’ Blue Hens star wide receiver Jerel Harrison was arrested on charges of first degree assault after allegedly hitting his teammate with his helmet during a fight in the team’s locker room.
The victim was transported to Christiana Hospital for treatment, but later released.
Harrison, a senior, was expected to be a major contributor for the Blue Hens in 2015. He has appeared in 34 games during his time at the university, with 25 starts.
This is a fluid situation, so Campus Sports will update you with more information as it becomes available.
