NC State gives scholarships to two walk-on WRs

Every college has a set number of scholarships that they are allowed to give out for student-athletes in their programs. Because of that, some players are forced to walk-on at their university of choice.

However, every now and then, you get a heart-warming moment when those walk-ons get the opportunity to receive a scholarship.

That is what happened on Friday for two wide receivers on the North Carolina State Wolfpack roster — redshirt sophomore receivers Gavin Locklear and Ben Grazen.

NC State head coach Dave Doeren called the two players up in front of the team after practice, before praising the two for their hard work and ultimately announcing to the team that they have earned their scholarships for the 2015 season.

It is a great thing to see and another reminder that hard work does pay off.

Check out the heart-warming moment below.
