Vernon Adams practicing with Oregon for first time

The past few months of Vernon Adams life have been a whirlwind. College football analyst and fans were starting to question if the former Eastern Washington star would ever suit up for the Ducks.

Finally, Adams can lay those eligibility issues to rest and focus on more important things. Like winning the starting job at a major Division I program.

After clearing his last hurdle yesterday-passing a math exam-Adams is ready to practice with the Ducks for the first time today. Assistant AD at Oregon Andy McNamara, posted a picture of the quarterback working out with the team.

Adams was expected to join the team back in June, but was unable to pass his class the first time. His next obstacle is to dethrone current starter Jeff Lockie.

Lockie is currently listed number one on the depth chart. Head coach Mark Helfrich spoke a few weeks ago at PAC 12 media days and stated he has the ultimate confidence in Lockie to get the job done.

Adams has less than 30 days until the start of the season to prove to players and coaches that he has the ability to lead the offense.
