Rogue Ales honors Colin Cowherd with his own beer

The newest member of the Fox Sports commentator community and an all-around character known for his deficiency in candidness, Colin Cowherd has won over the hearts of the brewmasters at Rogue Ales by paying tribute to him with his own beer, Blunt ‘N Bitter.

While scheduled to be in Portland in a couple weeks to make an appearance on a local radio talk show, Colin Cowherd will be subjected to a taste test of his microbrew, crediting the city of Portland for their hospitality towards the sportscaster.

Rogue’s President, Brett Joyce:

“All of us here at Rogue are thrilled to be working with a fellow Rogue and Revolutionary in Colin Cowherd. We both come from small coastal towns in the Pacific Northwest and, most importantly, share a kindred spirit as we both continue to Dare, Risk, and Dream and fight the status quo.”

Rogue Ales has made its own identity in the past two or so years in producing a sriracha-based stout in 2014, which scored a 78 out of 100 on Beer Advocate’s rating scale. And keeping in tradition of Portland’s modus operati, Rogue Ales has also produced a bacon maple-flavored ale in honor Portland’s most popular doughnut shop, Voodoo Doughnut.

Colin Cowherd isn’t the only one to grace the front of an aluminum beer can. Earlier this year, both Joe Paterno (Duquesne Brewing Co. in Latrobe, PA) and Baseball Hall of Famer Cal Ripken (Heavy Seas Brewing in Baltimore, MD) earned a spot in a beer lineup.
