The 2016 recruiting class has some pretty talented players in it and there is no more loaded position than at point guard. Both Kobi Simmons and Dennis Smith Jr, who is currently sidelined with a torn ACL, had a terrific June and had an even better July.
College Basketball Talk shared a video that featured the highlights of Simmons and Smith Jr. through the month of July. The two stars played against each other multiple times in July, including appearances in the adidas Nations and the adidas Gauntlet Finale.
Neither player has made a commitment for the 2016 season, but Simmons has already scheduled three official visits to Kentucky on August 28, Xavier on September 4, and Ohio State on September 28. Smith has yet to schedule any official visits.
Both of these players are going to be huge pieces for whatever team they play for next season. It’s unlikely that both players will play on the same team, so I hope that this summer wasn’t the last time these two players on opposite sides of the court.
