Tennessee’s Rock features faces of potential recruits

The Rock at the University of Tennessee is known for featuring some of the more colorful messages on them in college football. From Alabama coming in to troll the team by painting their insignia on it to the team giving a rather unpleasant message to former coach Lane Kiffin on it, there has been some classic paint jobs on there.

College Spun shared a photo of what the Rock looked like Saturday morning when Breon Dixon made an official visit to Knoxville. Dixon saw the Rock that featured his and four other recruits’ faces painted onto the side of it. The four other recruits? Maleik Gray, Kyle Davis, Deangelo Gibbs and Mecole Hardman.

Tennessee has seen its share of NCAA violations this summer, but I don’t know if this actually constitutes as one or not. Maybe the Vols should be a tad bit more careful about what they allow onto their property around campus. It could really hurt them in the end.

Regardless if this is a violation or not, I’m sure it made the five recruits feel special. If this does fly with the NCAA, I would expect to see other schools follow suit real soon.
