Ohio State jerseys have ‘Buckeyes’ text on neck

The Ohio State Buckeyes will have an update to their jerseys beginning this season. Elevenwarriors.com was first to have the news and released an image of what exactly is changing.

Instead of having the traditional Buckeye leaf on the back of the neck, it will now have the text “Buckeyes”.

This might not be the press release you were hoping, but its still uniform news.

Buckeye leafs symbolize the number of national championships in Columbus. With Ohio States title last year, the jersey would of had eight leaf symbols. Its possible, Meyer and the athletic department felt that would of looked a little tacky.

College football will be here in less than 30 days. After an off-season full of news, the Buckeyes will have nothing on their minds, but defending their title crown come September.
