The LSU Tigers are known for having some of the biggest characters on their special teams, especially for the players handling the kicking. Former placekicker Colt David was known for his crazy antics off the field, constantly pranking teammates in the locker room, and on the field, as he liked to dance after making a field goal. Former punter Brad Wing was just as wild, always wanting to be involved in a play and even being penalized for celebrating on a fake punt, on which he scored a touchdown.
Now it looks like the Tigers have another pair of characters in Australian punter Jamie Keehn and Louisiana-native kicker Colby Delahoussaye. LSUsports.net shared a video titled “When a Cajun & Aussie Take the Mic” where the two took over the LSU Media Day, asking their teammates all kinds of random questions. It resulted in hilarity.
If you know anything about the state of Louisiana, you know that people born and raised there are probably going to pick up an accent. These people are known as Cajuns for their French heritage and if you have ever watched Swamp People, you know that you can barely understand them when they speak.
While Delahoussaye’s accent is not as strong, he certainly laid it on thick to mess with his teammates. I don’t know how either of these guys were able to keep a straight face throughout the entirety of the video, but I’m sure glad they did.
Both Keehn and Delahoussaye will take the field for the Tigers on September 5 when they host McNeese State.
