USC Trojans fifth-year senior defensive tackle Antwuan Woods has been through a lot with the team, as the program was in the final year of NCAA sanctions his freshman season and missed out on the postseason despite going 10-2 on the year.
Fast forward to this year, and the Trojans are a team that will definitely be in the national championship conversation so long as it can win consistently in head coach Steve Sarkisian’s second season. He is of course feeling nostalgic, so he took to Instagram and posted a small tribute to he and the rest of his senior teammates.
Woods has also managed to do well as a player with the Trojans, posting 73 tackles (7.5 for a loss) and five sacks. With top-of-the-line quarterback Cody Kessler returning as well as sophomore receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster, plus others, expect Woods, USC and especially the Trojan seniors to be fully locked in as they chase a national title in 2015.
USC opens the season at home against the Sun Belt’s Arkansas State Red Wolves on September 5.
