A sequel to ‘Straight Outta Compton’ is already in the works

Wow, that didn’t take long.

BusinessInsider.com reports via TMZ that there is already a “Straight Outta Compton” sequel in the works.

It might come as a shock as the film just opened about a week ago. But the biopic’s first Friday earnings of $24.2 million have made a follow-up to the sleeper blockbuster a big reality.

The subsequent film will continue the ode to early American rap, reportedly venturing into the early 90s and following the early careers of Snoop Dogg and Tupac, and the legendary Death Row Records label.

(And for those who are as scared of rap mogul Suge Knight as I am, he reportedly be portrayed in the upcoming flick but will not have any “personal association” with it.)

“Dogg Pound 4 Life” which is the current running title for the sequel, will reportedly focus on social issues of the early decade as well as the music.
