The Ole Miss Rebels and head coach Hugh Freeze are ready to get the 2015 season underway and they will strongly benefit from the return of wide receiver Laquon Treadwell. The former five-star recruit is returning from a gruesome leg injury, but appears to be back at full strength.
While there are still concerns about the injury that he suffered last year, Treadwell is getting compared to Dallas Cowboys superstar receiver Dez Bryant.
There are flashes of Dez Bryant w/ Laquon Treadwells' game in contested situations. Physical w/ strong hands and focus. Attacks the football

Last season before going down with the injury, Treadwell caught 48 passes for 632 yards and five touchdowns.
Those numbers aren’t exactly the type of production that the Rebels will need this season, but if he is truly back to full health they will improve quickly. Receiving this praise and comparison from the media is certainly going to raise expectations from the Ole Miss fan base.
At 6-foot-2 and 210 pounds, Treadwell possesses the same kind of athleticism and physicality that Bryant has.
It is good to hear positive reports coming in for Treadwell.
There are quite a few players that would have seen their careers end after the type of injury that he suffered. Instead, he appears to be getting better and is getting compared to some of the best wide receivers at any level in the game of football.
That being said, it will be interesting to see if he can live up to the hype during the 2015 season. Ole Miss is looking to to stay at the top of the SEC, but they need some of their players to step up in order to reach that goal.
Expect to see Treadwell play a big role this season and to show why Weidl is making these comparisons this early on.
