Pat Narduzzi claims Ohio State ‘stole’ Michigan State’s D

Current Pittsburgh Panthers head coach Pat Narduzzi is known for being a defensive minded coach. During his time as defensive coordinator at Michigan State, he led some of the best defenses in the nation.

If you want to learn about his techniques, you better ask first.

Narduzzi went on The Griff & Grinz Show in Lansing and explained there is a team that “stole” his ideas.

“Ohio State’s facing the same problem (against offenses), because they stole our defense, too,” Narduzzi told The Griff & Grinz Show in Lansing, via CoachingSearch.com. “There’s a lot of teams throughout the country. You go watch them, they’re exactly us, whether they admit it or not.

“They’re exactly us, and they weren’t before. They won a national championship with the defense.”

The keyword in that conversation is “stole.”

Narduzzi threw out a haymaker directed right at Meyer and the Buckeyes.

Studying film and learning from other teams and coaches is nothing new in college football. That is how great programs are built.

Narduzzi needs to toan down his ego just a little. Maybe some can ask him where he got the idea to run that defense. Did he steal it once before?
