Wake Forest senior PG dismissed from the program

Wake Forest Demon Deacons senior point guard Madison Jones has been dismissed from the program for what head coach Danny Manning called a “violation of athletics department policy.”

Rob Dauster of NBC Sports’ College Basketball Talk reported Jones’ dismissal.

In his junior season, Jones averaged 4.7 points and three assists over 21 minutes per game in a primarily reserve role. He was suspended from all basketball-related activities back in March, but was reinstated in May and Manning said that he had made “great strides” in personal growth.

It now seems as though Jones has taken a step back, thus his dismissal. Chances are he will now look to latch on with another team for his senior season, if any will have him.

This story is still very much in the early stages, but Campus Sports will update it as any and all new information becomes available.
