Ezekiel Elliott was a huge part of the Ohio State Buckeyes’ championship run last season. He is expected to once again carry the team’s offense, while being considered one of the top players in the nation.
ESPN college football guru Kirk Herbstreit has made the bold prediction that Elliott will win the Heisman Trophy for the upcoming season.

Elliott is going to be a major workhorse for the offense and will be an every down back. There is no question that he will have a massive stat line throughout the yearwhich is why he has been considered a favorite to win the prestigious award in the eyes of Vegas.
During the 2014 season with Ohio State, Elliott ended up carrying the football 273 times for 1,878 yards and 18 touchdowns. He also caught 28 passes for 220 yards on the season.
Herbstreit likely isn’t the only big media member that will take Elliott as their Heisman favorite. He definitely is the front-runner to open up the season, despite all of the other talented players who are expected to be in the race.
