Former Tide RB Altee Tenpenny headed to Nicholls State

Former Alabama and UNLV running back Altee Tenpenny is on the move again, this time to Nicholls State. Matt Zenitz of AL.com reported Tenpenny’s latest transfer.

A former four-star recruit from North Little Rock, Arkansas, Tenpenny rushed for 218 yards and a touchdown on 48 carries in two years with Alabama before opting to transfer to UNLV in May. He was dismissed from the team earlier this month for what Runnin’ Rebels coach Tony Sanchez called a violation of team rules.

Thus, Tenpenny now finds himself at Nicholls State, an FCS program that plays in the Southland Conference and is located in Thibodaux, Louisiana. The Colonels are about to begin their first season under coach Tim Rebowe, previously a defensive assistant at Louisiana-Lafayette, and have not had a winning season since 2005.

No word has been given yet on whether or not Tenpenny will be allowed to play this season, but here’s hoping he can keep himself out of trouble and stay on the field.

Nicholls State opens the season on the road against the Sun Belt’s Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks on September 12.
