Miami to wear alum-made custom cleats for Nebraska game

Usually when you hear the word “custom”, you usually think something is very flashy and tailor-made to be exactly what a customer wants. These “custom” items can sometimes be too over the top and just ruin the beauty of what the item used to be. The Miami Hurricanes, however, are going down a completely different path with their new custom cleats.

According to College Spun, the Hurricanes will be wearing these cleats for the game against Nebraska this season. These cleats aren’t over the top with a depiction of Sebastian, the school’s mascot, on the side or something like that. No, these cleats are custom because each one was hand-made by an alumnus of Miami who loves Hurricane football more than anything.

The custom Adidas cleats were designed by SolesBySir and they add just the right amount of swagger the Hurricanes need going into a big non-conference game.

The finished product looks like something any football team would be proud to wear on Saturdays.

Now that is dedication to the program. This guy really knows how to take pride in his former school. I’m sure the Hurricanes will take pride in wearing the shoes.

The Hurricanes host the Cornhuskers on September 19.
