It has been rumored for quite some time, but now the news is official. During a special 50-yard line dinner for VIPs on Thursday night, Tom Jurich, Director of Athletics for the University of Louisville, announced a $55 million expansion project for Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium.
According to Louisville supporter Jonathan Blue, the expansion will include new team facilities, new suites and much more.
Photos of the proposed expansion project surfaced shortly after the announcement.

Louisville fans have to be thrilled to see the expansion finally coming to fruition. And with the $55 million pledge to get the project rolling, it’s safe to say the new facilities will be a major upgrade.
