New Eastern Kentucky Colonels head men’s basketball coach Dan McHale threw out the first pitch at a Lexington Legends game last night, and he actually made a decent throw!
Having spent the last two years as an assistant under Richard Pitino at Minnesota, McHale was hired in the spring following the departure of Jeff Neubauer, who left the program after ten years to become the head coach at Fordham. McHale has some big shoes to fill, as Neubauer led the Colonels to two Ohio Valley Conference titles and went 188-134 (105-73 OVC) during his time in Richmond.
If McHale is as confident on the hardwood as he was throwing out the first pitch, then EKU could definitely have some more success in its future!
