Corso, Herbstreit pick LSU, Ohio State in CFP title game

The college football season is less than a week away and the madness is already in full swing. The ESPN College Gameday crew got together for a season preview Saturday morning and the guys gave their early predictions for the College Football Playoff.

Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreit picked the same two teams to play in the 2016 National Championship game.

Earlier this week, Herbstreit handed out his annual Herbie Awards and also gave his selections for the CFP. He picked Arizona State, Oklahoma, LSU, and Ohio State to make the playoff with the latter two teams playing for the national title.

Corso picked Ohio State to beat Oregon and LSU to beat Baylor in the playoff with the Tigers going over in the national championship, much like the 2008 BCS National Title Game. Herbstreit was the opposite and picked his alma mater to win their second straight trophy this year.

This season is going to be wild with every team gunning for the Buckeyes. The Tigers have gotten picked by two different well-known college football analysts to play for the national championship.

I can’t say I’m too upset about that.
