On Friday afternoon, Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer named the team’s six captains for the 2015 season, with quarterback J.T. Barrett being one of them. Later that evening, a few of the Buckeyes’ captains took to Twitter to show their appreciation for the award.
It clearly seemed to be a great honor in their eyes. The two captains to show their appreciation were offensive lineman Taylor Decker and safety Tyvis Powell.
I've been fortunate to accomplish some great things in my career, but today may have been one of the most important in being named a captain

I swear sometimes my life seems too good to be true. It's a blessing to be a captain of this GREAT program. #TrulyBlessed

Decker is entering his third season as a starter along the line for the Buckeyes. It was no surprise when Meyer named him a captain. Powell is a junior safety and has really stepped up into a leadership role last season and over the summer.
The Buckeyes had have a good core group of guys leading their team this season. They should be a big force to be dealt with this year.
