P.J. Gallo leaving Maryland after 2015 season for Wall Street

University of Maryland Tight End, P.J. Gallo, spent his summer off the field and instead, interning for Goldman Sachs in New York City. The internship led to a job offer and one heck of a decision for Gallo.

Head coach, Randy Edsall, was supportive of Gallo’s decision. “It was actually an easier conversation than I thought it was going to be. I made the right decision for myself, for my future. Hopefully years from now, I can still look back and say it was the right decision,” Gallo told the Washington Post.

According to College Football Talk, this fall will be his last season with the Terps. Gallo has played in all 26 games the last two seasons and will resume his role as a mainly blocking tight end. He is set to graduate this spring and move to New York in the summer of 2016 to begin his new job.
