Class of 2016 G Frank Jackson set to make decision

Class of 2016 five-star point guard Frank Jackson, out of Utah’s Lone Peak High School, near Salt Lake City, will announce his decision Tuesday. A source confirmed the report to Scott Phillips of NBC Sports’ College Basketball Talk.

It is widely believed that Jackson, who stands 6-foot-3 and weighs 180 pounds, will choose between a final four of Duke, BYU, Utah and Stanford, though UCLA and Arizona are also potential destinations. Over the weekend, Jackson made an official visit to Duke and visited Stanford in July. Before reopening his recruitment earlier, he was committed to BYU.

Whichever school lands Jackson will be getting a fine player indeed. He is a great scorer who can put points on the board in multiple fashions, from driving the lane to hitting mid-range jumpers to even threes. At the adidas Gauntlet earlier this summer, he posted 24 points, four boards and 2.7 assists per contest over 10 games.

Once he learns how to balance his scoring abilities with those needed of a playmaker, Jackson is going to be a special kind of player.
