UCLA Bruins junior defensive back Ishmael Adams has been arrested for robbery on campus and is out on $100,000 bail. Adams’ arrest was reported on Twitter.
A former four-star recruit out of California’s Oaks Christian High School, near Los Angeles, Adams has posted 103 tackles and six interceptions since joining the Bruins. Given how UCLA ranked 86th in the nation in pass defense last season, there was little doubt that he was expected to be a key member of the team in 2015.
This story is still very much in the early stages, but chances are things are looking bleak for Adams. Campus Sports will update as more information becomes available.
UCLA opens the season on Saturday when it plays host to Virginia.
